Updates

 Marc worked from Yakima the week between the wedding and reception here, it was nice having him home. Saturday we loaded up a moving truck and he drove it to Boise early Sunday morning and unloaded it into a storage unit. We will close on this house June 11, the day that school gets out.

Hailey and Carl spent the week after their wedding in Yellowstone, they did some hiking and saw lots of wildlife.

Mormon prom

 Last night was Mormon prom, Lydia got asked a couple of weeks ago by a boy named Thomas, she didn’t know him at all, but luckily several of her friends were in her group, so it was a lot of fun. The theme for the dance was Hawaiian. Lydia had fun getting ready with a friend, she looked beautiful, and then they went to the dinner and dance, she said she was freezing except for when they were all dancing. It seems like she had a fun night.

 We drove down to Utah last weekend for the wedding. It was a long drive, we did stop in Boise and got to drive by the new house. Friday night all the kids came over to our rental, it was fun to see everyone. Marc and I and Kyle and Tori went that night and helped set up for the lunch and wedding reception. Saturday morning Hailey had some of her friends over to get ready, they all looked beautiful.

Then we drove over to the temple, the sealing was very nice. They had a lot of people there to love and support them.

We did pictures there at the temple, Hailey should get them back from the photographer and I will put them on here. 

After pictures we all went over to the venue and had a really nice luncheon together. Then we set up and got ready for the reception. The reception was a lot of fun, it was great to see friends and family that we haven’t seen in a while. 

It was all very nice, we are so excited for Carl and Hailey, they looked very happy, we loved being there to celebrate them.

We sat around way too late that night talking with the kids and grandma and grandpa, it was a lot of fun seeing everyone. 

We unfortunately had to drive home the next day.

This past weekend we got to celebrate them again her in Yakima, Friday night we had a little reception here, it was fun having Rachel and Tyler’s family here, and my parents, and carls parents, and of course Carl and Hailey. The reception went well, it was fun to see a lot friends come out to show their love and support for them.

Updates

We found a house in the Boise area. The plan is to move as soon as Lydia finishes school here. Marc is liking his job and Lydia and I are having fun here in Yakima.

Kyle finished the school semester and is still working a lot. He and Katie had fun shopping the other day. He doesn’t send many pictures, but he is doing great.

Hailey gets married in less than a week. She finished up school for the semester. She is busy moving into her new apartment, it is a little basement apartment near campus. She had a fun bridal shower, and this weekend hosted a brunch for her bridesmaids. One of her friends took some pictures of her and Carl before the wedding, they turned out really nice.

Katie decided to take a class spring semester, so she is busy with school and work. She ran a half marathon and the got her fastest time. She has been on some fun dates.

Nicole unfortunately has a broken sacrum, so she has been on crutches for the past couple of weeks. She bought a sewing machine and has been working on a denim quilt, it is turning out really nice and it has given her something to do while she has been trying to stay off her feet. Her exciting news is that she got into the dental hygiene program.

Lydia is enjoying the freedom that comes with being able to drive. She goes to the gym most nights and meets up with friends. She is working hard at school.
