Update

 Lydia

She is having fun playing basketball, she made the top team, but doesn’t have as much experience as the other girls, she’s learning a lot. I was able to go to her game this week, she played great,her team won 70-23, and she even made a shot and had some great passes

Katie and Nicole 

They are busy with school. They have been loving the good weather and being able to run outside. They both got their braces off this month, they still have to wear a retainer all the time, but it’s better than braces

Hailey

She is doing great. She has been sick, She went to a doctor and got started on some medication this week, so hopefully that helps. She has a new companion, they are doing more walking and getting to different parts of town, they have met a lot of new people, and had some really cool experiences. She eats lots of different foods, some of it she loves, some of it is very hard for her to eat. She loves pday, especially when she gets to play sports. She is happy and loving her mission

Kyle

Kyle is also doing well. He spent a long weekend in Provo, he was able to see some friends from Yakima and his mission. This past weekend he had a mission companion come stay with him. He plays a lot of basketball, and works a lot. Often now he is going and doing jobs in his own, so he must be learning a lot. He likes what he is doing but wishes he knew a few more people there in Logan 

He went to a friends wedding while he was in Provo 

Snowshoeing

 We went snowshoeing this morning, it was fun, and very pretty. We ended up doing 5-6 miles, we hiked in to a lake and then hiked back out.

First half of January

 January is half way over. January is not my favorite month, it is cold and gray, and there just isn’t much going on. But so far January hasn’t been to bad. 

Lydia got student of the week

Lydia also tried out for the school basketball team and made the top team, unfortunately her back has been hurting this past week and hasn’t been able to practice very much, hopefully it will feel well enough to play in her first game on Wednesday 

Katie and Nicole finished off their first semester of junior year, there was a lot of studying going on last week as they prepared for finals, they were sure happy when those were finished, especially calculus and anatomy. Nicole finished her ceramics class and brought home some more of her projects 

Katie got her braces off and Nicole will get hers off in another week.

They still spend a lot of time running, usually outside even though it is still very cold, but at least all the ice finally melted

We worked on a puzzle 

Saturday we went to the temple for baptisms and then the girls have been wanting to go ice skating so we did that afterwards. The girls did really well ice skating, And Marc and I did okay too, it was a fun night

Happy New Year

 2022 is over, the years sure fly by, but it was a good one. There were lots of changes for our family, kyle got home and then left again, Hailey graduated and then left, Katie and Nicole drive themselves everywhere now and Lydia is as tall as her sisters, Marc started a new job, and I only have three kids at home to keep track of. We can’t wait to see what 2023 brings. 

Saturday we celebrated, we didn’t get to do all of our favorite things, but it was still a fun night. The twins were babysitting and then they had a party at the church. Kyle left when they did and hung out with friends. Before they left we had pizza and fun drinks, raced our cars and did some karaoke. Then Lydia, Marc and I watched a movie until midnight. 

Hailey

 We got to talk to Hailey several times in the last week, and she sent some pictures the other day. She is doing well, she is working hard on the language, she loved celebrating Christmas and new year’s there and learning about their traditions and trying the food. We love talking to her and hearing about all of her adventures.

Fun after Christmas

 Kyle was here the whole week after Christmas, and we were able to fit in some fun. Monday we went to the climbing gym, everyone was pretty sore after but it was a lot of fun.

We spent a lot of time at the church gym playing basketball, Lydia is trying out for her school team this next week and wanted to practice, and kyle and Marc had some good one on one games. 

One morning we woke up to more snow so we went sledding.

We played lots of games, the girls started and new tv show that they really like, we did some shopping, and had lots of fun family time.

Kyle went snowboarding one day, played basketball with a bunch of friends, did a couple of plumbing jobs for friends, and ate lots of good food.
