Memorial Day Weekend

We had a very nice long weekend.  We spent the weekend at my parents house. The weather was perfect, we did all kinds of fun things, and got to spend time with lots of family. We drove over Friday night.  Saturday was a very busy fun day, we hauled firewood, roasted hot dogs and marshmallows with the Fordhams, we cleaned out the pond, played some pickle ball, and ran and played in the woods.  Everyone was muddy and tired at bedtime, but they had a great day.

Sunday was nice we went to church with my parents, and spent the day hanging out together.
Monday Kyle and Hailey and Marc went Kayaking with my Dad, and the girls and Ridge had a tea party with Grandma.

We had a great weekend, we loved spending time with my parents they are wonderful Grandparents.

Mothers Day

I had a very nice Mothers Day.  Everyone spoiled me with lots of fun gifts and cards and notes.  We had breakfast  together before Marc had to take off for meetings. 

After church we went out to the cemetery, and visited Marcs Moms grave, the kids love to hear stories about her,and so we talk while we clean off the headstone and leave flowers.

Of course we went and fed the ducks and geese while we were there, they werent very fun to feed this year, they didnt seem very hungry.

We had Marcs two sisters and their families over for dessert, we had fun catching up with them and the kids had a great time playing together.

It was a very nice day.  I love being a mom to these crazy kids of mine, they are the best!

Tennis

Kyle finished up his tennis season last week.  Marc and I got to watch his last match, it was one of his best ones, he got to play with one of his good friends and they played really well.  They were ahead 7 to 1, when they had to cancel the game because of lightening.  I think Kyle really enjoyed playing tennis he learned a lot and got a lot better. They had their dinner and gave out awards tonight, he got the award for most improved, he also got the award for tallest hair.

Alice in Wonderland

In March Katie, Nicole and Hailey tried for the play Alice in Wonderland.  Katie and Nicole both got parts, unfortunately Hailey didnt this year she has been in the play the last 2 years and has loved it.  Katie and Nicole were Lillies, they both had several speaking lines and also had to do some dancing across the stage. They have worked really hard on it, and finally this past weekend they performed their play.  They did a great job, the whole play was fun to watch.  It was a great experience for the girls, they really enjoyed it, and learned a lot.
