Summer Vacation week 2

 We had another good week. It really feels like summer, the weather has turned very hot.  We stayed pretty busy, Hailey had tennis every morning at 7 and then volleyball in the afternoons, the twins and Lydia went for a lot of bike rides.  We also got in a trip to the park to roller blade one morning before it got too hot

 Thursday night we all went to a friends house to swim, we had a great time.  

Another afternoon we put the sprinkler under the trampoline 

Saturday we had a big ward service project, we cleaned up a baseball field and then had a hot dog barbecue lunch and played some kickball and baseball.  It was fun, but very hot.

In other news Marc was released as the bishop, we dont know what he will be doing next, but this will be a big change for him and all of us.

Also we talked to Kyle on Monday, he seems good, he gets another 6 weeks in Oakley which he is pretty happy about.  He got a new mission president this week, he will miss President and Sister Southward, but Im sure the new ones will be great as well.

Fathers Day

 We celebrated Fathers Day on Sunday as well as the twins birthday.  Marc is an awesome Dad, he always has time for his kids even when he is really busy.  He works hard and is lots of fun, our kids are very lucky to have him for a Dad. 

A croquet game Sunday evening with his girls. Kyle also posted a nice post to Facebook about his Dad and how he is his best friend and how he loves going on adventures with him.

 The twins turned 15 on Sunday.  We celebrated while we were in Chelan, we picked up some cakes from the grocery store one night.  We got carrot cake and triple berry ice cream cake. 

Sunday morning they opened presents and had their Ego waffle breakfast before we drove home.  Lydia got them each a really nice water bottle and they got some running gear and sport sunglasses to wear when the run.  They are super fun girls, I know this next year as 15 year olds will be a good one for them.

Family Vacation day 3

The girls wanted to go for a run, so Marc and the twins got in a morning run.  Then we went down to the pool for awhile.

We ate lunch and then went down to the lake for the afternoon. We decided to try paddle boarding, Katie, Nicole, Lydia and Marc all tried it.  They all said they really liked it.

We played in the water for awhile and then the girls talked Marc into renting the jet ski again.

We were hot and sunburned, so we went and got ice cream.

We drove home Sunday morning.  It was a really fun little vacation, it was nice to get away, and we loved all of the fun things to do there, Im pretty sure my kids could swim all day long.

Family Vacation day 2

 Everyone got up early, so we went down to the pickle ball courts and played for awhile, we also played some tetherball. Then we went on a nice walk by the lake, it is such a beautiful lake.  It was still pretty early but the girls decided to swim for awhile.

We then went down to the lake for awhile, we played on the shore and then Marc rented a Jet Ski and we had lots of fun going for rides on it.  

The water was pretty cold, you can see that Hailey was the bravest.

The jet ski was lots of fun, the girls said they could have ridden it all day.  

We took a little break that afternoon and then the girls were ready for the pool again

We also got in a good game of mini golf once it cooled down in the evening.

Family vacation day 1

 We left Thursday afternoon on a little family vacation.  We were headed up to lake Chelan to spend a couple of days. The girls really wanted to go the long way and stop and jump off the cliffs at Vantage.  It was fun, Lydia and I didnt jump, but everyone else said it was great, although the water was pretty cold.

We then stopped in Wenatchee and got food for the weekend, and then finished the drive to Chelan.  We got all checked in and ate dinner and then we went to the pool and swam for quite awhile.

Summer Vacation week 1

 We didnt do a whole lot the first part of the week.  I think the kids were just happy to be out of school.  Katie and Nicole had friends over one night to hang out and roast marshmallows and make smores.  Hailey babysat a couple of times.  Lydia got to go to a swim party with some friends, everyone was a little jealous that she got to swim and they didnt.

Other fun things, we watched an afternoon movie every day, we made lots of homemade ice cream, we did yard work, and went rollerblading.

Another school year is over

 We finished up school today. It was a weird year, we started with the kids home doing class over zoom, and then in February they went back two days a week.  There we definitely things that they liked about this year and things they didnt like.  They liked their schedules, they had a lot more free time, but they also missed being at school with their friends and teachers.  

Hailey finished up her Junior year.  It was a hard year, she had a very challenging schedule, but did great, she ended with all As.  I think she liked most of her classes and teachers.  One class that she wasnt very excited about was speech class, but she ended up doing great and even enjoying it. She also figured out Calculus and got and A on the final.  The teachers all give out an award to someone in each class, here are Haileys

Katie and Nicole finished up their Freshman year. They too had some challenging classes, and did really great, again both of them ended with all A's.  They both took a photography class that they enjoyed, They are also enjoying spanish and plan to take the third year next year.  

Lydia finished up 5th grade, she loved it, she really liked her teachers and made some nice new friends.  She is a great student, she especially likes math and PE. 

Now we are ready for summer and new adventures.
