puzzle, artwork and braces

The kids were really in a puzzle mood this last week, and they finished another one.

Kyle finished up his art class and brought home some more of his work.

Katie brought home this painting.

And yesterday Kyle got braces put in his top teeth, they will put them on the bottom ones in a couple of months. 

January update

January is moving right along.  We are still getting snow, every couple of days another little storm comes through bringing another inch or two of snow.  Marc took Kyle, Katie and Nicole snowboarding a couple more times this month, they went yesterday, it was the twins last class, they really picked up on it, and really enjoy it.  Marc took some videos of them, they looked pretty cute snowboarding down the mountain.  Kyle took a friend with him yesterday and they had a great time.

 Katie, Nicole and Hailey are playing basketball now.  They had their first game on Saturday.  Hailey is on the same team she has been on for the last couple of years, they won their first game, Hailey made 6 points.  Katie and Nicole have a new coach this year, he is really nice and they seem to be really liking it this year.  They lost their game but they both played well.

Katie learned the hard way that it isn't a good idea to play on the banister, she has had quite the black eye for the past week.

It is cold and wet outside so we have put together a couple of puzzles.

 This was the one we had out at Christmas, but we were so busy that we didn't work on it much, it finally got finished a couple of weeks ago.

This one of Lombard Street was lots of fun, it was fun remembering our fun summer vacation while we put it together.

We just keep getting more and more snow, the kids had a 2 hour delay this morning so they made yet another snowman.

New Years Eve

We had a fun New Years Eve.  We had pizza and Root Beer for dinner, the kids all love having their own Root Beer.

We cleaned up dinner and then had a fun dance party, we did some freeze dance with cupcakes for the winners.

We raced our Christmas cars, Hailey was the winner this year.

We watched a movie, Paul Blart mall cop 2- we all thought it was pretty funny.  After the movie Kyle got ready for his party at the church, while we waited the girls played a game of Suspend.

We all drove Kyle over to the church for his party, and then we came home got some snacks and watched the movie Pan with the girls, we all enjoyed it.  It got over about 25 minutes before midnight everyone was still awake, we sat and talked and watched some videos of the ball dropping in Times Square, Lydia laid down on me and fell asleep about 10 minutes before midnight, but everyone else made it.  We yelled Happy New Year and the girls went to bed, Kyles party got over at 12:30, so Marc went and picked him up, it sounds like he had fun, I couldnt get a whole lot of details out of him.  It was a fun night, a great way to end the year.
