We had a nice Halloween. The kids dressed up for school and had parties in their classes. After dinner we decided to meet up with some of the kids friends and trick-or-treat with them. The kids had a great time. Lydia was pretty cute, she had to run to keep up with the big girls, but she loved it. Her bucket started getting too heavy so Marc took a bunch of the candy out and put it in his pockets, she wasn't sure about that. We came back to our neighborhood and went to a couple of friends houses, and then came home and the kids dumped all the candy out and sorted it for a little bit, and then off to bed they went.

pumpkin carving
We had fun carving our pumpkins tonight. Lydia wasn't sure about putting her hand inside to clean it out, she doesn't really like to be dirty, she made some pretty cute faces. The other kids love everything about it, they are very creative and love designing their pumpkins. They all turned out great.

Halloween parties
This weekend we had two Halloween parties. Friday night the girls dressed up and we went to their school party. It was fun, a little too crowded for me, but I am glad we were able to go, I know they had a great time.
Saturday night Marcs Dad and Diana had a Halloween party for all the kids, it was great, we all had a really good time. We started off with a really good dinner, all Halloween themed. Then we played all kinds of games.
here are the girls listening to the game instructions, I thought it was funny that they all had their hands by their mouths.
A game of Halloween BINGO
And then Doughnuts on a string
A cake walk, with yummy cupcakes
We ended the party with all the kids going down to the haunted basement, where we saw witches and ghosts, and heard some good scary stories.
It was a great party, I am so glad that we were able to go, I know we all had a really good time.
The laundry basket
I did laundry this past Monday, and Lydia found the laundry basket that I had out, she played in it all week. She would get her pillow out and put it in the bottom of the basket and then she would get a blanket and some little toys and she spent hours in it. Everyday it was the same thing. I dint mind, it kept her busy all week, but we all thought it was a little funny to see her in there all the time.

primary program
The kids had their primary program today. They have been practicing all week, they each had a speaking part, and they sang "we'll bring the world his truth", Hailey also sang another song with a group of the older girls. Each time we practiced Lydia wanted to practice too, so she would stand in front of all of us and talk, we didn't always know what she was saying, but it was sure cute. They all did really well, it was a really nice program, I was really proud of all of them. I realized that this was Kyles last primary program, next year at this time he will be 12, my kids are growing up.
Football and family
Saturday afternoon Kyle had another football game. His team played Ellensburg, which is the top team in their league. 3 or 4 of Kyles teammates were hurt during the first part of the game, this made it pretty hard for Kyles team. Kyle usually plays fullback, but the running back was hurt so he played running back, he did really well, in fact I think that he played the whole entire game, offense and defense. They lost pretty bad, but it was fun watching Kyle play so much.
I think he is going in for a hand off
It was so cold!!!
After the football game we met up with Rachel and Tyler and their kids for dinner in Ellensburg. They were on their way home from Boise, and thought it would be nice to see each other. The kids had a great time seeing their cousins even though it was just a quick visit. We are glad that they stopped it was fun.

Fall fun
The girls played outside in the leaves for a couple of hours this morning. They started out in our backyard, we don't have many leaves but they raked up all they could find and had a great time, I sure had fun watching them while I did dishes.
Then they got tired of the ones in our yard and went next door, where they have piles and piles of leaves, and played some more, They even made a house out of leaves. They had a great time.

Grandma and Aunt Marianne
Last year my Aunt Marianne made a trip to Washington and visited us and each of my brother and Sisters families, it was so much fun, so she decided to do it again this year. My kids have been so excited to have her and Grandma come again. They got here Monday afternoon, Lydia was the only one home so they got to spend some time with just her. Marianne got her this cute headband, she loves it, she wore it to the grocery store today. She also brought the older kids these great Halloween pens.
The kids had a great time showing them all their stuff and telling them about everything that they have been up to.
We ate dinner and then Grandma took Kyle and Hailey to the store to pick out their birthday movies, but they couldn't decide which ones they wanted, but we did get ice cream to go with Marcs homemade ice cream cones.
We put the kids to bed and then sat up and talked for awhile. In the morning Grandma taught us how to make a 3-2-1 cake, she let each of the kids make their own for breakfast, then we got the kids off to school. We drove out and picked up some apples and squash, and then came back and looked at the house that we are planning on buying(more on that later). Hailey had never seen the house so we picked her up from school and took her with us, it was fun walking through it again. Then we had to say goodbye to our fun visitors. We love that they took the time to drive over here and visit, we all enjoyed it, and cant wait until next year.

Pumpkin patch and a football game
Saturday morning we decided to make annual trip to a pumpkin patch. We tried a new one this year, it was a little bit of a drive, but it was lots of fun. We started by making apple cider, it was fun to make, and we have all enjoyed drinking it.
The girls loved the little petting zoo
And the homemade pumpkin doughnuts were great.
The kids climbed all over this hay tower
And of course we picked out pumpkins to take home
Unfortunately we couldn't stay very long, so we had to miss out on the corn maze and the apple sling shots, we may have to go to this one again next year when we have more time.
When we got home Kyle had a football game, Kyle played really well, he got the ball quite a few times, and he made his first touchdown. We were all so excited for him.
