State track Meet

Because Katie won the district track meet, she got to run in the state track meet.  Thursday morning Katie and the rest of the track team that were going to state left for Tacoma.  They spent the next couple of days there watching track.  Katie didnt run her race until Saturday at 4:30.  We drove over Saturday morning and spent the day watching track, waiting to watch katie.  Katie ran well, she got a new PR by a second, I think she had fun running with all the top runners in the state. We loved watching her.

Track district meet

 Katie had her district track meets Thursday and today. Thursday she ran the mile and got 5th place.  Today she ran the 3200 and she won her race and will get to run in the state track meet next weekend.

Yak Attack

 Lydia had a soccer tournament Saturday called Yak attack, she played 3 games, her team won one of the games. Lydia played a lot and had a lot of fun.  She is done with soccer now, she has loved playing this season, her coaches and team have been a lot of fun. 

Fishing and Senior Breakfast

 Yesterday Hailey got up really early so she could go fishing with some friends.  They had fun, she caught 10 fish.

They had to be at the high school at 7:30 for their senior breakfast.  They started the breakfast off with a dance performance by 22 of the Dads, dancing to Taylor Swifts song 22, Marc was on the dance team, he has had fun practicing and then performing the dance.

Prom

 The same day that Hailey had her big tennis tournament was also her Prom, she was the last tennis game going and didnt finish until after 6:30 and her dinner started at 6.  Her date came and watched her last match and then they both rushed home and got ready really quick, he picked her up and they were able to make it to dinner with their friends.  Dinner was good and they went to the dance for a couple of hours, it sounds like it was pretty crowded and hot, but they had fun.  

She went with her friend Nate, he asked her by making cardboard letters that spelled PROM and then he used dry ice to blow the letters up.

Tennis Districts

 Hailey was able to play in the district tennis tournament on Saturday, they took the top players from each school and had a tournament the top 2 will go on to the state tournament.  Unfortunately she had to play the top player first, she lost that match, but played well, we werent able to watch that match but I had a lot of people come and tell me how well she played.  Her next match was much easier and she won it.  Then she had to play one of her own teammates.  It was a really fun match to watch, they both played really well, and had a lot of fun. Hailey did lose, and so she is out of the tournament now.  We have loved watching Hailey play tennis in High school, she picked the game up so quick, and is a really good tennis player, I hope that it is a sport that she continues to enjoy her whole life.

Mothers Day

 We had a nice Mothers Day, the kids and Marc treated me to a nice breakfast, and flowers and cards.  Church was nice, all the women were served cheesecake or chocolate cake.  We came home and the kids and Marc made a really nice dinner.  Kyle called after dinner, it was fun to talk to him, he is doing good, they are teaching several people that go to the college in Pocatello.  We spent the evening going for a walk and playing games.

Tennis

 Hailey has had lots of fun playing tennis.  This past weekend they had a big tournament in Spokane, She played #2 singles, we got to watch her play a match on Friday, she played well but lost, but she still got to spend 3 days and 2 nights with her friends, she had a great time.  And her team ended up winning the tournament. 

Tonight they had their senior recognition before their match.  I was able to be there, Hailey has loved being on the tennis team, she really likes the coaches and her team, it was really nice that they recognized all the seniors.  they made them all funny t-shirts, and a basket of goodies.
