snowboarding

Marc, Kyle, Katie and Nicole went snowboarding today.  They have a great deal on lessons and gear rental, it is a buy one get one free deal and Katie and Nicole were wanting to try it.  They really liked it, their lesson was 2 hours long and then they stayed and practiced for awhile afterwards.  Kyle just did his own thing and seemed to have fun, Marc stayed near the girls and watched and did a little snowboarding as well.  They have 2 more lessons on their passes that they got so they are excited to try it again.

Christmas

I heard the kids up about 4 in the morning, we let them come down at about 6:00.  We always start by going through our stockings, there were lots of fun gifts and treats in them.  After stockings we open up the presents under the tree, Santa wraps everything so there are lots of gifts to open, we do one at a time, and just enjoy it.  We stopped after a little while and ate our yummy Christmas breakfast.  We spent the day playing with new toys and games, it was a really nice day.

Christmas Eve

We had a nice Christmas Eve.  Marc worked most of the day, so the kids and I cooked and cleaned while we listened to Christmas music and watched Christmas movies, everyone helped out and dinner was really good.  After we ate we acted out the nativity and sang some Christmas songs, the kids each played the songs on the piano that they have been working on, we ate yummy Christmas pie, opened up new jammies and read Christmas stories before bed. 

More December fun

Marc got home early the other day so he took the kids to the good sledding hill, they had a lot of fun.

Tuesday night was the party at the Murdocks, they did an ornament exchange and a white elephant gift exchange, and then had ice cream, it was fun to get together with everyone.

This is the gift that Nicole got she thought he was pretty cute.

We made and decorated sugar cookies last night, it was fun as always.

Gingerbread houses

Last night we made our gingerbread houses.  The kids really get into it, they get really creative and have a lot of fun.  They turned out really cute.
