January update

January is moving right along.  Everyone is doing well.  Kyle is doing physical therapy 3 times a week, he is able to do quite a bit more now, and is happy do be able to be more active, is is hoping to be able to play tennis in March.  He just finished his first semester of Senior year, his classes went well.  he finished his last projects in his ceramics class.

We had a 4 day weekend, Kyle spent the day Monday hiking with friends.  They were planning on going snowshoeing but the road was closed so they just hiked instead.
Hailey also just finished up her semester, she had a lot of hard finals so she has been pretty busy this last couple of weeks.  Saturday she was able to go play tennis with friends, and she enjoyed the 4 day weekend relaxing and hanging out with more friends.

Katie and Nicole are playing on the school basketball team, they are enjoying and will start games this week.  They also just finished up their art class and brought home their last project. Pig and flamingo mugs.
Lydia is doing great, she is loving school, she is always busy working on some kind of project for her class.  She has loved the snow that we have had lately, she skates her way up to the bus stop each morning and back home again, and then she plays out in it by herself until I call her into dinner.

Saturday morning Marc took the three youngest kids sledding on our favorite sledding hill, they said they had a great time.

Happy new Year

We spent Tuesday afternoon playing pickle ball with friends and then setting up the church for the big New Years Dance. We came home and had pizza and root beer.   Last year the Stake put on a big party, they decided not to this year, Marc talked to a lot of kids that were pretty sad about that, so our ward decided to host a dance/party.  We set up a game room where kids could hang out and play board games, we set up ping pong, a photo booth and dancing, and snacks.  Kyle and his friend Tyler were the DJs again.  We weren't sure how many people would come, but we ended up with 250 kids. We didn't have anywhere for Lydia to go, so she got to hang out with the big kids, everyone had a great time.  It was a lot of work, and we stayed up way too late, but I am glad we did it, it was a lot of fun.  And now we are ready for a new year, and new adventures.
