katie and Nicole had the Yakima Sun Kings-basketball team come to their school yesterday, their PE teacher asked them to play bump with the guys on the team, they had to play from the 3 point line, so they didnt do very well, but they thought it was pretty fun.  Their teacher took a picture of them with the 6 foot 10 player.

Teenagers

Life with teenagers is an adventure.  This weekend was a fun teenage weekend.  Friday night we hosted a date night, only 2 boys ended up getting dates, Kyle and his friend Tyler.  They played ping pong and basketball, and then had a Nerf gun war, ate pie and ice cream and then played some board games.  It was lots of fun, Marc and I sat and played a couple of games with them, we had a great time.

Hailey decided that she wanted to have a party before the dance Saturday night, she thought it would be fun to invite kids from Selah so that her and her friends could get to know the kids from the other stake (mostly the boys).  She planned the whole thing, invited a bunch of kids and had quite the party Saturday.  I think there were about 25 kids here, most of them played balloon volleyball upstairs most of the time, and some of them played basketball outside.  I think everyone had fun, it wasn't exactly as she had hoped, but it was still fun, and she is definitely getting to know lots of people and making lots of friends.

March Update

Kyle is playing tennis now, we got to watch a little bit of his match tonight, he is enjoying it and getting better.  Kyle and Hailey got to go to youth Conference a couple of weeks ago, they loved it, they had great speakers and of course they loved the dance with over 850 people.

Hailey just got braces on yesterday, she is in a lot of pain right now, and she looks so cute.

Hailey had to do a big project for national History Day, she did her project on Galileo, she did a website, it looked really good, she ended up getting 4th place in the competition.

Katie and Nicole just tried out for a play and got parts, this year they are doing Peter Pan, they will be Indians,  they are really excited about it.

Nicole just finished up an art class, she brought home some of her work.

Nicole got to participate in the 6th grade spelling bee, they picked the top 2 kids from each English class and then had a big competition, she had fun participating.

Lydia also got to participate in her spelling bee, they picked 3 kids from each 2nd grade class to compete in the school spelling bee.  I got to go watch, it was so fun to be there, she did great, she didn't win but loved being a part of it.

Lydia brought home some fun artwork.

Lydia, Katie and Nicole had fun making a leprechaun trap for St. Patricks Day, they didnt catch him, but he left us some Lucky Charms and some gold wrapped candy.

We are also having fun with March Madness, we all filled out our brackets, and have watched some of the games.
