More visitors

Friday my brother Daniel called and asked if they could come and visit, of course we said yes. They got here late Friday night and spent the day Saturday with us. Daniel finished up a little bit of painting Saturday morning, and then we took the kids to their soccer games. They both had really good games, and we had a lot of fun watching them. They brought their dog Sammy with them, my kids loved her, especially Hailey. Hailey spent the whole day with her, she now thinks we should get a dog, I think we will just have to visit Daniel and Heather and Sammy more often. We went on a little hike Saturday afternoon, the kids loved it we made it down to the river this time, getting back up the trail with katie and Nicole wasn't easy but we made it and they sure slept good that night. We are so glad that they came, it was a really nice visit.

Grandma, leah, and Naomi's visit

Marc and I bought a new bedroom set for our bedroom so I have been wanting to make a quilt to go on our bed. My Mom decided to come this weekend and help me get started, and she brought Leah and baby Naomi with her. They got here Friday night. The kids were so excited to see them. They love the baby it was really cute watching all the girls with her and they all went and got their babies. Hailey is a great helper with the baby and the twins kept saying cute things like Naomi is my friend, and I think the baby likes me, it was so cute. Saturday I spent the day sewing it is looking really good next time I go to my Moms I will take what I have done and work on it some more.

Hiking

My friend told me that she went hiking on this trail that is only about 5 minutes from our house, so we went to check it out on friday. We picked Kyle up from school and went over to the trail it was really nice. We didnt make it very far the twins started saying that they were tired, Kyle would have kept going a lot longer. But it was really pretty and there is lots more to explore so I am sure that we will head over there again soon.

Easter

The kids have been looking forward to Easter all week long and we had a lot of fun. Saturday night we made Easter baskets together.

Sunday morning we got up and the Easter bunny had come, he left some candy and some little toys in their baskets and he hid a bunch of eggs around the house. There was some sidewalk chalk in their baskets that was shaped like eggs, Kyle got all excited thinking it was a giant candy egg so he licked it and made quite the face when he realized that it wasnt candy. They had fun finding all the eggs and trying all the candy.

Then they got to put on their new Easter clothes, the girls got new dresses and Kyle got a new tie. They looked so nice. The twins kept saying they were beautiful princesses.

When we got home from church we colored easter eggs and had Easter dinner, which was very good. Then we went out and visited Marcs family. It was a nice Easter, we talked a lot about why we really celebrate Easter and I think that Kyle and Hailey are beginning to understand a little better why Easter and the events that took place are so important.

The sandbox

Marc had the day off today so I put him to work. We had a sandbox but last summer we found cat poop in it so we took it down but my kids love to dig so they have been digging up my yard, so I made marc put a new sandbox in. It turned out great, the girls played in it the rest of the day.

first soccer game

Today was the kids first soccer game. Marc had to work so I got to take all the kids by myself, and let me tell you after three hours at the soccer field I am exhausted. That is a long time to try to keep 2 two year olds sitting on a blanket. Luckily the weather was beautiful, but I am very glad that next week Marc will be there also. The parts of the games that I got to watch were a lot of fun. This was Haileys first game ever and she loved it she hopped and skipped all over the field and if the ball came near her she gave it a big kick and went back to her skipping. Kyle has been playing for awhile and has gotten quite good he made three goals and had a really good game.

Vacation

This week is Spring Break for Kyle, and Marc had some time off of work so we decided to take a little vacation. My sister Leah who lives in Rexburg was having her first baby and we thought it would be fun to go and see her and her husband Joe and maybe even see the baby. So we left first thing Friday morning and started the long drive, at about 10:00 my Mom called and said Leah was in labor, so we drove as fast as we could and got there a couple of hours after the baby was born. We went over to the hospital and saw her as soon as we got there, she is beautiful, and so little. My kids loved holding her I'm pretty sure Hailey would have sat there all day and held her

We spent the rest of the evening swimming in the hotel pool, Marcs brother David and sister Kim came over to the hotel so we had fun visiting with them. Then we attempted to put all the kids to bed we put all three girls in one bed and Kyle on the floor, Marc and I didn't get much sleep the girls kept rolling on top of each other and crying and Kyle woke up about 4:oo and never went back to sleep.

Saturday we went over to Idaho falls and spent the day there. We went to the museum they were having a display about the Titanic, which my kids have been very interested in lately. It was really fun and very interesting. The we spent the rest of the day driving around we drove up by the Temple and did a little shopping. Then we came back and went out to dinner with my parents, they had got here late the night before. Then Marc and my Dad took the kids swimming while my Mom and I went and saw Leah. Sunday we got up and got ready for church , after church we went over to Leahs and spent the afternoon there. The crazy thing was it started snowing it snowed a couple of inches but the wind was blowing so hard that you couldn't see at all so went back over to the hotel and spent the evening there playing games and watching the Discovery channel. Then Monday we were kind of running out of ideas on what to do because the weather was so bad there wasn't a whole lot we could do with the kids so we decided to get up early and have breakfast and then swim for awhile and then check out of the hotel and then drive over to Utah. Swimming was fun.

We went to Utah because they were having a big dinner with all of my relatives on my Moms side of the family and we thought it would be fun to see everyone we haven't seen them since Kyle was about 6 months old. We got to Utah a couple of hours before the dinner so we took the kids to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. It was a good choice of something to do the kids loved it.

The dinner was fun, I am glad that we went it was fun to see everyone. After the dinner we went and visited Marcs brother Richard and his wife Bree, then we drove for awhile and spent the night, amazingly enough all four kids slept in the same bed and didn't wake up at all. We got up early the next morning and drove home. It was a nice vacation we got to see a lot of family and spend a lot of time with our kids. I asked Hailey if she had fun she said it was the best vacation ever I said even better then Disneyland, she said yes because she got to swim this time.
