End of February snow storm

We woke up this morning to about 5 inches of snow.  The kids had a 2 hour delay at school, so after we got all our morning chores done we went outside and played for awhile.  It was good sledding snow, they got going pretty fast down our little hill.  Lydia even liked it this time.  It made for a fun morning.

My baby is growing up really fast.  A couple of weeks ago I decided to try potty training since she seemd really ready.  It wasnt so great at first, but after about a week she seemed to figure it out, and now I think she is pretty much potty trained.  Yesterday we decided to get her in a big girl bed, we put her in a bed in the bedroom with the twins and moved Hailey into Lydias room by herself, which she thinks is pretty great.  Lydia didnt do great in the new bed, she thought it was pretty fun to get up and play with her sisters in the middle of the night, but she did pretty good at naptime today so we will see how it goes.  Two days ago I started putting her in underwear at night and she has stayed dry both nights.  She is doing great we are so proud of her.

Sunday Question

Marc:  Spring, because I love the warmth and I am ready to be outside.
Katie:Winter, because it is so fun to play in the snow, and you get hot cocoa
Hailey: Summer, because we get to play outside all the time
Kyle: Summer, because we get to wear shorts and play sports outside
Nicole: Summer because I can wear shorts and because I like to swing
Anna: Autumm, because I love the weather

The Vacumm

The girls love it when I vacumm and chase them around with it.  Lydia wanted to try it the other day.  It was so funny she was laughing so hard when Katie and Nicole would scream.  She wants to Vacumm everytime now. 

Valentines Day

Valentines Day was lots of fun.  The kids spent the weekend before getting all of their valentines ready for school, the twins were happy to be involved in all of that this year.  Kyle requested that I make heart sugar cookies for his class, so I did that Monday night for him.  They all came home with all kinds of cute valentines after school on Tuesday.  Hailey has a boy that really likes her and he gave her a chocolate rose and a plastic ring, 

Last year Marc and I had fun doing the special dinner an Valentines Day, last year we did Chinese food, This year we did a 50's Diner, with hamburgers, Fries and chocolate milkshakes and lots of good 50's music.  Marc made a menu so the kids could choose what they wanted on their burgers, Marc was the waiter.  It was fun I think everyone had a good time.  I am already excited to plan next years.

Pinewood Derby

Friday night we had our Pinewood Derby.  Marc and Kyle have been working on his car the last couple of weeks.  It turned out really well, and Kyle ended up taking 2nd place, which they were both really happy with.  I think that they are both a little sad, this was Kyles last year, next year he will be to old. 

Sunday

Today Marc was released from our ward

bishopric, he has been the first counselor for almost 4 years.  The kids were so excited to have him sit with us during church, it will be kind of weird, I am so used to doing it all on my own, it might take me a little while to get used to having him home all day Sundays, but I know it will be nice.  He will be teaching the 14-15 year olds in Sunday school now, and I am sure that he will do a wonderful job at that to.

After church we made dinner together.  The girls were mixing the juice and Lydia wanted to help so Marc got her a bowl with some water and a spoon and she had so much fun stirring it.

I celebrated my 34th birthday on Saturday.  It was a nice day.  The kids gave me all kinds of cute presents, pictures and cards, Nicole even made me this cute crown to wear.  Marc gave me a fun card and ZUMBA classes. 

 My Mom and Dad gave me a money to go out and eat, so Marc and I got a babysitter and went out to lunch, that was nice we hardly ever go out by ourselves.  We had a good time.  Later on we went to a baptism and then got another babysitter and went to a surprise party for our bishop, that was fun to.  When we got home we had cake and ice cream with the kids, which of course was lots of fun.

Father Daughter Ball

Friday night was the father daughter ball that the High School puts on.  The girls have been pretty excited about it.  They wore their Christmas dresses this year, I suggested to them that maybe it would be fun to get matching shirts or something this time and they said no way, that it was a ball and you wear dresses to balls.  They had a great time.  It sounds like when they got there they were playing all their favorite songs so they did a lot of dancing and singing along.  They saw a lot of friends there, which they thought was great.  They had ice cream and got pictures.   I love it, I think it is so fun that they get to go have this really fun special night with their Dad.  Kyle was excited to because he got to stay home and watch Harry Potter.
