Soccer

 Lydia is playing soccer on the school soccer team. She is really enjoying it. Katie and I were able to watch her game tonight, it was really fun to watch. She is really good and had a great game.

 Lydia turned 13 yesterday! We ended up having a last minute change of plans, we were going to be in Seattle watching a track meet, and we were going to do some fun things over there, but the twins coach ended up taking them out of the meet because he wants their injuries to heal. So we didn’t really have plans, the weather was beautiful so after a yummy breakfast we spent some time outside doing yard work and then went to the school and played all kinds of games, basketball, soccer, Gaga ball. We had hamburgers, fries and fruit for dinner and the twins made her a really good lemon cake. After dinner she went for a bike ride on her new bike. Then she had a bubble bath and got her nails done and then Hailey called to wish her a happy birthday. It was a fun day! We love Lydia, she is lots of fun, she is kind and always thinking of others, she is quite social these days and loves hanging out with her friends, she does really well in school, and loves going to church. We loved being able to celebrate her.

Pasco track meet

 Saturday we spent the day in Pasco at a big track meet. The twins started out doing a distance medley relay, they both did really well, and their team got 7th place.

Lydia, marc and I left and went shopping for awhile. And then came back and watched Nicole run the 1600. She had rough start, one of the girls starting next to her tried to move over to the inside and knocked over two girls, one of them was Nicole, she got pretty good banged up, someone’s spike cut her leg up. They restarted the race and the same thing happened, but Nicole was able to jump out of the way and didn’t fall that time, finally the third time everyone made it out without falling. Nicole did well and loved racing. Afterwards they cleaned her up and got her all bandaged.

We left again for awhile and walked around the park at the river, then came back and watched katie run the 3200. Unfortunately she has been having some hip problems, and it started hurting during the race, she did well but not her best.

We all went out to dinner after. It was a fun day. Katie is still in a lot of pain, we are trying to get her into a doctor to find out what’s wrong. Nicole’s leg is healing up pretty well.

Spring Break and Easter

 We are just finishing up our week of spring break, no one is very excited about getting up early and going to school tomorrow. Kyle was able to come home for the week, and we loved having him. We started off with general conference weekend, which we loved. 

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday we were home, marc worked, the twins helped with track camp, we played games, played basketball, went fishing, did some house projects, watched movies, and had fun together. Thursday we headed over to Shelton to spend some time with grandpa and grandma. We stopped at snoqualmie falls, it was a nice little break from driving.

We got to Shelton and had dinner and then twins and grandpa went for a long wet bike ride.

Then they all went and played pickle ball for a couple of hours. Friday morning after breakfast they all went kayaking, the weather turned out to be okay and they all really enjoyed it. Unfortunately Nicole wasn’t feeling great, so after another bike ride and dinner we decided to head home early so that she could get some sleep in her own bed and hopefully get feeling better. 

Saturday was our last day with kyle, it was a nice day,  nothing too exciting, but lots of family time. We did do an Easter egg hunt, they had fun doing that together again.

Sunday morning Hailey called, so we all got to talk to her before kyle left. He left and then we went to church. After church we got to join haileys mission for an Easter devotional. Hailey’s mission president and his wife seem great. We had a nice dinner together, and a nice day, we talked to kyle a few times as he was driving home, he was able to stop and see some friends from his mission.

It was a fun week, full of lots of family time
