Bingo Night

The kids had a family Bingo Night at their school.  Each class had been in charge of getting a basket ready for the prizes.  Kyle won the second round of Bingo and chose the Sweet Tooth basket.  He was so excited about getting a Bingo, I am pretty sure that we have enough candy to last at least a year.  It was a really fun activity we all had a great time.

Lydia

Lydia had her 2 year Dr. Appointment yesterday.  She is doing great, she the 75th percentile for height and right in the middle of 50-75th for weight, and is very healthy.  She did have to have one shot, she didn't cry at all, and was thrilled that they put a band aid on her.  She has a thing for band aids, several times I have found her in the bathroom covering her legs with them.  Some other things about our 2 year old, she talks a lot, and sings a lot. She is potty trained. She loves to play outside, especially the trampoline. she wants to do everything her older sisters are doing.  She loves reading stories.  She loves going to Nursery. She can be pretty stubborn, we have been hearing the word No a lot lately.  She is tons of fun, she is constantly keeping us laughing.  We sure do love her.

My baby turned 2 today. We had a fun day.  We started our day out with a yummy breakfast, and balloons, the girls gave lydia all kinds of fun little presents. 

I tried to get some pictures of her before church.  When I tell her to smile this is what I get.

After church Marc  grilled some hot dogs and then we had Marcs family over for cake and ice cream.  The kids all had so much fun playing with their cousins. 

 We got her this bubble blowing gun, she loved it.

We had cake and ice cream. She was pretty cute, she sang the birthday song along with everyone and,  was cute blowing out her candles.

It was quite the party, I think everyone had fun. 

Marcs new ride

He did it, he bought himself a new ride.  It is a Honda Ruckus, it only goes 35-40 mph.  It gets about 100mpg.  He will use it to get to and from work and around town, it should save him a little bit of gas money plus he thinks it is pretty fun to ride.

Saturday Sports

The twins had a soccer game at 9:00.  They played so good.  Nicole made 4 goals, she had so much fun.  Her coach gives them a king sized candy bar for every goal they score, so Nicole got 2 after the game, her coach didn't have enough so she will get the other 2 at practice.  They were so fun to watch.

After the soccer game we went over to the softball fields and watched Hailey.  It was their opening ceremonies and then each played a 3 inning game.  Haileys team won and they had a lot of fun.

The weather was beautiful this weekend, so we spent a lot of time outside.  Katie and Nicole have been earning money to help buy new bigger bikes.  They have earned enough so Saturday we went and got them.  Saturday afternoon they rodes bikes and got used these new big ones.  The twins also had a soccer game Saturday.  They are really enjoying soccer and are really getting good. There was a Mom standing next to me and she kept saying "Wow your girls are so good at soccer, I cant believe this is their first year playing"

We also went to the temple on Saturday morning. Hailey has been wanting to buy this CTR necklace that they have at the church bookstore by the temple so we stopped there before we came home and she was finally able to buy it.  Of course we also had to stop at our new favorite place there, the Spudnut shop, and try another one of their yummy doughnuts.

Marc has decided that he wants to buy a scooter to ride to work and around town, his friend has the kind that he wants so his friend let him borrow his for the week.  Marc is now even more convinced that he needs one.  Saturday he gave us all rides on it up and down our street.

It was a beautiful, fun, very busy weekend.

Easter

We started our Easter fun on Saturday night, we colored and dyed eggs.  The kids all get really into it.  It is fun to see what they come up with.

Sunday morning we got up and had a nice breakfast, and then watched the some of the new bible videos that the church is making, about the savior and the resurrection.  Then we got ready for church.

Just as we pulled into church so did Rachel and her family.  We stayed for Sacrament meeting, they kids sang a nice song.  After church we all came home, the kids were so excited to see each other, they had a great time playing.  We had dinner together and then had an Easter Egg hunt.  It was lots of fun, we are so glad that they had a chance to stop by on their way home, it was great to see them.

house projects

Last week when my parents were here we told them that we were planning on working on some kitchen remodeling projects during spring break because Marc had some time off of work.  They decided that they would come back from Utah early and come and help us.  So Wednesday afternoon they came back.  Marc and my Dad started on the project Wednesday night, worked all day Thursday and about half the day Friday.  It was so good that they were here it turned out to be a pretty big project.  We put on new counter tops and trim and backsplashes.  It turned out so nice.

Of course we didn't work the whole time, we also took time to go out to dinner which was fun and very entertaining, Grandma and the kids played lots of games of cover your assets, they boys played some basketball and we ate lots of ice cream.  We are so grateful for my parents wiliness to help out, it really was a huge help, and it sure turned out nice, plus it was lots of fun.

These are the kids class pictures.  I also got to go to parent teacher confrences this week. It was fun talking to their teachers.  They had great things to say about each one of the kids.  I am proud of my kids for working so hard and doing such a great job in school.

The twins had their first soccer game on Saturday.  It was so fun to watch.  They did great and were so cute.  Marc worked this weekend but was able to take his lunch then and come over and watch.  They said they loved playing.  It is going to be fun to watch them all season.

Mom and Dads quick visit

My parents were on their way to Utah for Spring Break and they stopped at our house Thursday night.  The kids were so excited.  They loved being able to show Grandma and Grandpa all of their school stuff and tell them everything they have been doing.  Lydia was pretty cute she warmed up to them really well this time.  My mom makes the Grand kids each a quilt when they are about 2 to go on their big kid beds, she was able to finish Lydia's and bring it with her, Lydia likes it, when I ask her if her new blanket keeps her nice and warm she just says Grandma.  We had a really nice quick visit with them and are glad that they were able to take the time to stop and see us.

mileage club

At the school that the kids go to they do mileage club, the kids run at lunch recess every Friday and keep track of how many miles they run throughout the year.  When they reach 50 miles they get a t-shirt.  Kyle made it last week.  He really enjoys running and does really well, I think he was the third kid to get a t-shirt this year.  In a few more weeks I will be putting up a picture of Hailey with her shirt, she is getting close to earning hers.
