Our weekend

Marc has been working the last 4 nights until 10:00, so it has been a long weekend.  We decided not to go to any of the Halloween parties because he was working and I didn't want to take all the kids by myself, so we tried to come up with some fun things to do at home.  We made and decorated pumpkin shaped sugar cookies.  Lydia didn't get it, she just ate hers , but the other kids get into it and had fun.

Our neighbors were kind enough to let my kids play in their big piles of leafs
, Nicole loved being buried in them, but then we couldn't see her so she would get hurt because someone step on her.  Kyle tried throwing Lydia in the pile she did not like that at all and wanted nothing to do with it.  We made it through the long weekend, one more day and we are off to Disneyland.

Lydia 18 months

Lydia had her 18 month appointment today.  She is doing great.  She is the 50th percentile for height and 75th for weight, which is about what all my kids are.  She still isn't saying a whole lot.  She started going to nursery at church 3 weeks ago, she loves it, she runs right in and doesn't even look back.  she is tons of fun.

primary program and pumpkin carving

Today was our Primary program at church.  The kids did really good.  Katie and Nicole have been working so hard this last week on memorizing their part and they did it, they didn't need any help.  They all sang the songs really well to, it was a really nice program, and I am proud of them for all of their hard work.

Today was the only day that we were able to carve our pumpkins, the rest of the week is pretty busy.  So this afternoon the kids went to work carving, they turned out great, and we had lots of fun.

Grandma Beck and Aunt Marianne

Thursday afternoon My Mom and her sister, Aunt Marianne came for a visit.  Marianne lives in Utah and came here to visit everyone for her birthday.  We had a very nice visit.  My kids loved seeing Grandma and getting to know Marianne.  She brought the kids each a cute set of pajamas, she had them wrapped in these Halloween bags, so after the girls put on the PJs they had tons of fun playing with the bags, they were great for getting into and jumping around in, Katie and Nicole started it and of course Lydia had to give it a try, we had lots of fun watching them.

 Katie jumping in her bag.

And of course when the big kids got home from school we had to go out and try the scooter and play some basketball.  Grandma and Marianne were practically professionals at both.
 Look at them go

 look at that form

Kyle was at the haunted corn maze with his football team (which he loved) but we didn't get a picture of everyone in their PJs with Marianne. So here are the girls
And here is Kyle after he got home.
It was a great visit, thank you for coming, we cant wait until next time.

Football and pumpkins

Saturday morning we went to Kyles football game.  It was a really good game.  Kyle got to play both Offense and defense, so he had a blast.  He played really well.  He had defensive play when he blitzed and sacked the quarterback, to this his coach said "that blitz was a true work of art."  They won the game.

After the game we decided to try a pumpkin patch in Ellensburg since we were already there.  They had a small corn maze and lots of pumpkins.  It wasn't the most exciting pumpkin patch that we have been to but we all still had fun, and we came home with four pumpkins to carve.

Haileys baptism

Hailey got baptized Saturday evening.  It was a very nice meeting.  Grandma Beck gave a talk about baptism and then Marc baptized her, Grandpa Murdock gave the talk on the Holy Ghost and then she was confirmed by her Dad.  She asked Kyle to give one of the prayers.  Tyler, Grandpa Murdock,Tony and Robert stood in the circle when she was confirmed.  We really appreciate everyone that came and supported her on her special day.

Rachel did little photo shoot of her in her white dress before we went to the church.

Grandma Beck gave her this necklace that is made from a bead from Haileys Great Great Grandma, she loves it

Kyles football game

Saturday morning we all got up early and went to Kyles football game.  He loved having everyone there to watch him and cheer him on.  He played really well,he had some great tackles, unfortunately they lost they lost the game.

He is #52, doesn't he look tough?

Hailey turned 8!

Hailey turned 8 on Friday.  We started off our day with Egos for breakfast (Haileys choice), Hailey opened her presents from us, she got some books that she has been wanting and some more strings for her pot holders that she likes to make.  Then off to school she went.

While she was at school Rachel and her family and my Mom got here.  When the kids got home they were so excited.  We had dinner and then got ready for Haileys party.
Hailey got some supplies for friendship bracelets so Rachel gave her a lesson on how to make them. (she has been making them ever since)

7 of her friends came for her party, a lot of them were from her school last year, they were all excited to see each other.
Mackenzie, Tessa, Brooke, Hailey, Lauren, Autumn, Megan, and Reese

She had a cake decorating party.  We started with cupcakes, they each got to do three.  They had fun, and were all very proud of their creations.

Then they all decorated Haileys cake for her.  They each did a part of it, and it turned out really cute.

We opened presents next, she got some fun stuff, and they all had fun opening everything and throwing tissue paper around and being silly girls.

Then we did cake and ice cream.
Happy Birthday Hailey, we love you!
