Fun family activity

We needed something fun to do Friday night as a family. We couldn't think of anything, I got the idea of having some sort of a scavenger hunt. What we ended up doing was breaking into 2 groups (Marc, Hailey and Nicole were one group and Kyle, katie and myself were the other) I then wrote all the letters of the alphabet on papers and put them in a bowl and each group picked 2 letters. Then we went to the store and each group had to find something that we could do as a family and get a treat to share and they had to begin with their letters. And each group could spend no more then 5 dollars. Marcs group picked B and C and they purchased a ball to play with and got some kind of doughnuts that started with the letter C. My group picked the letters E and R. We got plastic eggs and had an egg hunt, and had Reeses for a treat. It turned out to be a lot of fun the kids loved thinking of different things that they could get and we had fun coming and home and playing together. I'm sure that we will do it again sometime.

St. Patrick's Day

My kids seem to think that St. Patricks day is almost as exciting as Christmas. Kyle has been working on a Leprechaun trap all week for school, he was sure he would catch one. Hailey was so excited she could hardly sleep she was up bright and early. The leprechaun did leave us a box of Lucky Charms for breakfast, and he turns the milk green. Then I decided to make their lunch green to so I had fun making green bread and shopping for green food at the store, I got green grapes and green Jello and green juice boxes and oreos with green in the middle, It was a lot of fun. I love that my kids get excited about even the little Holidays it makes them lots of fun, I will be sad when they grow up and realize that there are no such things as leprechauns.

Highlights

We had a good week here are a few of the highlights
-marcs schedule allowed him to be home for dinner every night, it was so nice.
-Thursday night Marc and Kyle had a scouting dinner to go to and then a basketball game so us girls had a girls night out. It was a lot of fun, Hailey especially thought it was great. We had a treat and then painted our nails. The twins werent quite sure what to think about painted nails, but I think because they were pink, which happens to be their favorite color, they decided it was okay.
-Friday night we had a family movie night, we watched Horton hears a Who, and we had pizza and I made caramel popcorn. it was very fun and the movie is pretty cute.
-Saturday we got a lot of projects done around the house and then played some games.
-We had friends over for for dinner on Sunday it was a lot of fun we need to do it more often.
It was a nice week we cant wait to see what this next week brings.
