The tree is up

We have an artificial tree, we have had it for quite awhile, this year we put it up and some of the lights didnt light.  Marc worked on it for a long time Saturday night, finally he figured it out, by then it was to late to decorate it, so Sunday afternoon we put the ornaments on, it looks great and makes our house feel Christmasy.

Because it is Haileys last Christmas, she got to put the angel on top, we figured out a new easier way

Thanksgiving

The girls didnt have school on Wednesday so we spent the day making pies and getting ready to drive to my parents house for Thanksgiving, we left as soon as marc got home from work.  We visited with everyone Wednesday night when we got there.  Thursday the girls and Marc and everyone went and played pickle ball at the church building in the morning.  I stayed and visited with my Mom as we got things ready for dinner.  Dinner was great, the food was good and it was wonderful to be surrounded by family, and to reflect on all the blessings we enjoy.  We have so much to be thankful for. Leah and Joe hosted another pie contest, it was fun, everyone loves trying all the different kinds.  Our favorite amish cream won.  We drove home that night.  Friday morning the girls continued their tradition of eating leftover pie while they watch home alone and mom and dad go shopping.

Marc had time to go check out the new ford bronco

State Volleyball

Haileys volleyball team made it to the state tournament.  Friday morning was their first game, her team went in ranked number 14 and were playing the 3rd placed team and they won, it was a very exciting game.  Because they won their next game wasnt until 8:45 that night, so Hailey hung out with her team all day, they went out to eat and spent time at the hotel.  Grandpa Beck was here so we also went out to eat and came back to the gym a little early thinking we would watch some of the game before hers, but haielys game was very delayed in starting, i think it started at about 10:00, it was a long night, the girls were so tired.  The game was another fun one, Haileys team won, we made it home at 1:30 in the morning. Because they won both of those games they knew they were guaranteed to place in the top 4.  The team they played first was a very good, we lost to them and they ended up in second place, and then the next game we also lost which put Haileys team placing 4th in the tournament.  We were so happy for them, I think they all had a lot of fun and played some great volleyball. it was such a fun way for Hailey to end her senior year of volleyball, she has learned so much from playing, and it has been a lot of fun for her. we loved being able to support her over the years as she has developed her volleyball talent.

Kyle Update

Kyle was transferred to Thayne Wyoming.  He is training a new elder there.  He says it is pretty great, they live in a cabin on a little lake.  They are over 5 wards, one of them is a spanish branch.  He has already had a lot of service opportunities, he does a lot of wood chopping.  He is teaching several great families.  He is really enjoying it there.

They went hiking and fishing on p-day, he says wyoming is very pretty.  He was able to help an older ladyhike down the mountain.

Soccer, State xc, volleyball districts

Another busy Saturday.  Lydia had her last Soccer game, so I took her to that.  It was a fun game, she was playing against several good friends.  She really enjoyed playing this season, she really improved and had a lot of fun

We left her game a little early so we could drive to Pasco to watch the twins race in the state Cross Country race.  It was crazy, so many people.  They loved it.  They did really well, Katie got 18th place and Nicole got 20th place. Their team got 8th place, and they were the top 2 runners from their team.  They had a great season, they love running and really enjoy their team, they are already talking about next year.

The school did a fun send off for them-posters and cheering as they ran down the hallway.

Hailey also had districts for volleyball so Marc drove to wenatchee to watch her games. They won both of the games they played, so they are also headed to state.  Hailey had fun and played well.

Temple Trip

Marc took the older girls to the temple last weekend, so they could do baptisms.  They enjoy going to the temple.
