New Years Eve

Tonight we had our New Years Eve party.  We started off by eating lots of yummy foods, and the kids each got their own root beer, which is something they always look forward to.  Then we did some dancing, these kids sure have some good dance moves.

We also did some Karaoke.  We had a really fun night.  It was great just hanging out together and having fun.  And now we get to start 2013, I cant wait to see all the adventures that it brings.

12 years

Marc and I celebrated our 12 year anniversary yesterday. 

 

We were woken up at 5:30 by Hailey and Katie making us breakfast.  Hailey was so cute, she said she had planned it all night, they made us almond poppy seed muffins. 

We spent the day doing some shopping and running some errands.  Then we had a babysitter come over so we could go out to dinner, it had been snowing a little earlier in the day but when we left it was snowing pretty good and the roads were pretty slippery.  I don't like driving in the snow and was afraid that if we sat in a restaurant for an hour the roads would be even worse when we came out, so we decided to get take out and go back home.  The kids were surprised to see us, Marc took the babysitter home (he said he barely made it up the hill to her house), we ate our dinner and watched a movie with the kids instead. 

Chirstmas Day

Christmas Day was wonderful, we spent the whole morning playing with all of our new stuff, and then Lydia took a nap.  When she got up we decided to enjoy our beautiful white Christmas and go sledding, and try our the new sleds that Santa left.  It was lots of fun.

 

When we got home, Marc's Dad, Diana, Sean and Kim came over.  We visited with them for a little bit,  the kids wanted to show off all of their Christmas presents.  It was nice having them come over.  We enjoyed the rest of the evening together, the kids were all pretty tired so we ended our day pretty early.  It was a great Christmas, the whole month has been great, a little different then usual, but great all the same. 

Christmas Morning

We had a wonderful Christmas.  We got up at about 6:00 to find that Santa had been here.  We took our time going through our stockings and then started opening presents, but stopped for awhile to eat breakfast and charge the camera.  Then we came back and finished opening everything.  Santa was very good to us, and we all loved the gifts that we gave each other.  The kids spent a lot of time making things for Marc and I and each other, we loved it all.

 

The twins got a bookshelf and lamp for their room, they have been enjoying being able to read for a few minutes in their beds at night.

Kyle and Hailey each got a beanbag to sit and read on or watch TV on

reading the card that Nicole made at school, katie and nicole each made really cute ornaments in their class, they have their pictures on them

Christmas Eve

We had a really nice Christmas Eve.  Marc got home from work at about 4:30 and we ate dinner, dinner was really good.  After dinner we read and acted out the Nativity.  Kyle was Joseph, Hailey Marry, Nicole an Angel, Katie and Lydia were shepherds, and Marc was the inn keeper.  Kyle and Hailey both wanted to sing, Kyle sang "when Joseph went to Bethlehem" and Hailey sang "What Child is this", they sounded really good.  We talked about Christmas a little bit, and then finished the Christmas book we have been reading. 

 

 

Then we all opened one present, we all got new PJs, everyone looked cute. 

 

 

We hung our stockings, put out cookies and milk for Santa and food for the reindeer, and the kids were off to bed.
