They take the girls from church getting ready to start their sophomore year of high school on a fun hike together, they needed another couple to help, so Marc and I volunteered. We hiked on Friday it was about 5 miles, we stopped at the campground, and got our tents all set up and then we took the girls up to the hot springs it was another half a mile. The hot springs were a lot of fun, we stayed quite awhile just talking and having fun in the water. We went back to camp and cooked dinner and had a little devotional and then as it was getting dark we went back to the hot springs with glow sticks. We did face masks before bed. The next morning we packed up and hiked out, we stopped for lunch on the way back and then got the girls home mid afternoon. It was a lot of fun Marc and I were glad we were able to go and help out. Lydia had a lot of fun with her friends and making some new friends.

Summer vacation week 4

We had another fun summer week, the weather has been really nice, here are some highlights

- lots of running and gym time for Lydia

- swimming with friends one afternoon for Lydia

- Marc worked on a talk in all of his spare time, and gave it Sunday

- tennis lessons for Lydia

- enjoying the produce from our garden, zucchini, cucumbers, and tomatoes

- a bike ride for Marc and lydia

- and our big adventure this week was attending a music festival, we have been wanting to try a concert, we all enjoy country music, so when we heard about this music festival in Pendleton that had 3 of our favorite country musicians we decided to try it. It was a lot of fun, and definitely a new experience. It was very hot and loud , and maybe a little too long, but overall we are glad we went. It was so fun to be at a live concert and we loved how patriotic they were, they played all of our favorite songs, and we loved experiencing it all together. Our favorite three performers were Cody Johnson, Riley green and Ian munsik, we loved dancing and singing along.
