Basketball

Kyle ended his basketball season a couple of weeks ago.  I think they ended their season 16-3.  He had fun and learned a lot, I dont know if he will do it again next year, but if not it was fun that he got to do it this year.

Hailey finished her season this week.  I think she enjoyed it more than she thought she would, I dont know if she will play again either, but it was fun that she did it this year.  They had their awards night on Tuesday, the girls voted on 2 special awards and hailey won the award of best teammate.

Marc is also playing basketball, he is on the church team, they just finished playing all the teams and they won every game, they still have the tournament so we will see how that goes.  I had fun watching his game last week, and he has had lots of fun playing.

First Date

Kyle went on his first date on Friday.  He and his friend Tyler met these two girls at the dance last weekend and planned a fun date for Friday.  There was no school so they met up and played tennis for awhile and then went over to Tylers house and made pizzas and played games.

Valentines Day 2018

We had fun celebrating Valentines Day this year.  Lydia is the only one that still has a party at school, she had fun making valentines for everyone in her class.  Katie and Nicole took Valentines for a few close friends and had fun exchanging those.  At Haileys school you can buy a can of Orange Crush for people and they deliver them at the end of the day, she came home with 3 cans.  And Kyle didnt do anything at his school.  Our family tradition is to have a themed dinner, we do something different every year, this year we did Hawaiian.  We had Hawaiian haystacks and pina- coladas, and for desert we had pineapple upside down cake.  It was lots of fun, it was nice to have everyone home for dinner.

Father Daughter Dance

Last night was the Father Daughter Dance, only Lydia went this year.  She loved it.  She was so excited about it, she loves to dance, so it sounds like her and Marc were quite the dancers, they also played games, and ate ice cream.  Katie and Nicole decided to skip out on the dance this year so I took them out to frozen yogurt and we watched the Olympics together.  Kyle and Hailey went with friends to the church dance.

I turned 40 last week, crazy!! I am getting old. It was a busy weekend so we spread the celebrations out over a few days.   Marc took Friday off, so we spent the day together and we went out to lunch, it was nice.  The weather was beautiful on Saturday, we spent a lot of time outside.  Everyone was home for a little while at dinner so we did cake after dinner and then opened the fun present that Rachel and her family sent.  Sunday was busy so we ate dinner together and then I opened the presents from the kids, they spoiled me with lots of fun gifts.  It was a nice weekend.  Now on to enjoy my 40s.
