Memorial Day Weekend

We spent the long weekend at my parents house.  We had a great weekend.  Saturday was a long fun day, the kids played really hard all day.  Marc, Kyle, and Hailey started off with a kayak trip, they had a great time, they saw all kinds of wildlife, seals, raccoons, and crabs.  They played on the on the swing, zip line, tree house , and of course had to try out the new outhouse.  We made yummy tin foil dinners, and smores.  Grandpa, Marc, Kyle and Hailey played some pickle ball before bed.  We went to church on Sunday and had a tea party that afternoon, even Kyle joined in the fun.  We stayed until about 12:00 on Monday, they had to have some more pickle ball games before we left and the girls needed a few more times on the swing.  We had such a nice weekend, it was nice to get away from home and spend time with Grandma and Grandpa

Mormon prom

Kyle went to Mormon Prom Friday night.  He went with a girl named Alexa, and they went with a group of two of Kyles friends and their dates.  They all met up at our house so we took some pictures, and then they also took some at the dance.  It sounds like they all had a really good time.

Seattle

Marc had the opportunity to be a chaperone on Katie's field trip to Seattle.  They spent the day at the Pacific Science Center, Katie loved all of the exhibits, and she had fun with her friends.  After everyone else left Katie and Marc walked around Seattle for awhile.  They had a fun day, it was too bad that Nicole's teacher didn't go, so that she could have went with them.

Mothers Day

I had a wonderful Mothers Day! We started the day with a yummy breakfast together, Marc didn't have meetings so he was home most of the morning.  The kids gave me some cute notes and cards, Lydia made me these special glasses.  Church was nice, Hailey spoke in Sacrament meeting and then all of the moms and Young Women had a special meeting together where we were served yummy cake.  Kyle grilled salmon for dinner, which was excellent and then we went to the cemetery and visited Marc's Moms grave.  The kids love to have him tell stories about her, it is something we do every year, it is a nice time to remember her and what a wonderful Mom she was.  We came home and Marc had a made a fun little video for me.  It was a nice day, I love being a Mom and am so grateful for a wonderful husband and awesome kids.

David Archulleta

Last night we went to the David Archulleta concert here in Yakima.  It was a lot of fun, he has such a clear amazing voice.  He sang lots of fun songs and shared why he wrote his songs, Lydia's favorite part was when he sang a medley from the Greatest Showman, Marc had fun dancing and embarrassing the kids.

Peter Pan

Katie and Nicole tried out for the school play a couple of months ago, and got parts as Indians, in the play Peter Pan.  They have been working really hard, and this weekend they performed their play. It was so cute, it was really well done, and we loved watching it, and they loved performing it.

School Dance

Kyle was invited to go to TOLO(girl ask guy dance) with a girl named Lily that he met from Selah. It sounds like they had a fun time.
