Family vacation day 2

We went to church this morning to one of Kyle’s favorite wards from his mission, and after church kyle met us in the parking lot, it was great to see him. My plan was to pick up groceries last night when we got here but everything was closed so after church we went to find some food, the only thing open was a maverick gas station, we picked up some borritos, no one was very excited about that.

We went for a hike that is just a half mile from our rental, and was pretty and felt good to get outside and move.

We played some games and then we decided to drive to afton and do another little hike, it was very pretty, the boys jumped in the freezing cold water.

Lydia wanted to jump in but it was too cold

It was a fun day, we tried to get to bed early, so we can get up early and head to the Tetons tomorrow

Family vacation day 1

We left early this morning for our family vacation. We stopped in Boise at the water park and played a few hours, unfortunately it was very crowded so we didn’t get to do everything we wanted to, but it was still a fun stop, we all had a good time.

Then we continued our drive to Wyoming, it was long and we were tired, we stopped and took a little nap, so we didn’t get to our rental until 10:00. The coolest thing on our drive was that we saw our first moose, it was just running next to the road.

Summer vacation week 7

 Another great summer week

Highlights

-lots of babysitting for the twins, they watched a little boy named Trevor and the cutest little baby named Abby

-tennis lessons for Lydia

-beautiful Sumer weather, nice and warm but not too hot

-youth activity-rock climbing-the girls got to go up early with the leader in charge and help him get all set up and then they got to climb before everyone else got there, they also learned how to belay so they helped most of the other youth. They loved it and said they wished they could climb every day.

Summer vacation week 5

The big highlight this week was girls camp. Katie and Nicole were YCLs again, they went up Tuesday morning and Lydia went up Wednesday morning. They had a really good time with our ward. Some of their favorites were time on the lake, the team building activities, lip sync night, and rappelling from a bridge. I was able to spend Thursday up at camp and then I went back Friday night for the testimony meeting, it was lots of fun.

Other highlights from the week were making apricot jam from the apricots on our tree

And we did another fun summer puzzle

We also went to our favorite produce stand and bought our first box of peaches and corn in the cob. We made a peach crisp Sunday and had friends over to enjoy it with us
