We had a really nice long weekend, Marc didnt have to work at all and the kids were off of school Wednesday through Sunday. Thanksgiving day was nice, we started with a walk to the store get the newspaper so we could look at the Black Friday Adds, we sat around and looking at them for quite awhile, then we turned on the parade and had fun watching that, we started working on dinner while kids did puzzles, played games, and slept (kyle).
Dinner was great, we had all the traditional stuff.
We watched movies and then had yummy pie. It was a wonderful day, we have so much to be thankful for.
Friday morning Marc and I went shopping, it was fun shopping together and getting in the Christmas mood. Marc had bought stuff to make these cute turkeys that his mom had always made on Thanksgiving, but we forgot to make them, so Marc made them with the girls on Friday. Friday night we all drove to the temple, Marc, Kyle and Hailey did baptisms and the younger girls and I hung out at the mall, it was a really nice way to spend the evening.
Saturday we put the house back in order and got out the Christmas stuff, Lydia helped marc put lights outside and we put up the tree. In between all of this fun there were also a lot of ping pong games and nerf gun wars.
It was a great weekend and tomorrow we are back to school and work.

PE Superstars
Katie and Nicole both had PE for their elective the past 6 weeks, they weren't in the same class. At the end of the term the teacher picks a kid in each class that was a PE Superstar. Katie and Nicole each won the award in their class, so they came home in these cute blue shirts.

Football
Kyle finished up football a couple of weeks ago, they had the awards night tonight. Kyle had a really great season. He played on the JV team and was a starting defensive end. He won the coaches award for player of the game twice during the season, we found out tonight that his coaches call him Kyle "contain" Murdock. He really enjoyed it this year, and we loved being able to watch most of his games.

Meridian Idaho
We made a quick trip to Meridian Idaho this weekend. It was the open house for the new temple and we thought it would be a good opportunity to take the kids. The kids didn't have school Friday so we left Friday morning and drove all day. We got there and went out to dinner, the food was good, and it was fun to eat out with the kids. We went back and swam at the hotel, we had the pool to ourselves, the kids played volleyball, Marco Polo, and did relay races. We watched TV until we were tired. After breakfast Saturday we drove over to the temple, it is beautiful, we went on the tour, we all enjoyed it, and felt the spirit. We drove home Saturday afternoon. It was a quick trip but it was nice to spend the weekend together, and we enjoyed the special opportunity of seeing the temple.

student of the month
Lydia got student of the month, so I was able to go to her school and be there when she got her award. It also happened to be the Veterans Day assembly, I loved hearing the songs that they have learned to honor the Veterans, they did a really nice job.

1/2 days and snow
This past week the girls had 1/2 days at school, poor Kyle had to go all day every day. We had fun playing in the leaves, watching movies and babysitting the cutest little boy. I got to go visit with Lydias teacher she says she loves Lydia and says Lydia is doing great.
Sunday morning we woke up to our first snow, not a lot only about an inch, but it feels like winter is on its way.
