Halloween

We had fun with Halloween this year, we did all the usual stuff.  We carved pumpkins, watched Halloween movies, listened to Halloween music, made and decorated Halloween shaped sugar cookies, and dressed up and went trick or treating.

 These three had a party at a friends house one night. Nicole is a cowgirl, Hailey is a PE teacher and Katie is a Hula dancer

Katie and Nicole had three friends over for trick or treating, they had fun walking around together, and then they came home and went through their candy.

Hailey and Kyle hung out at home and did homework and passed out candy.

Lydia update

Lydia is doing great, I had her parent teacher conference today, her teacher says she loves her, she is a great student. 

 Her teacher gave me this cute giraffe that Lydia made, and this picture that she took the first day of school.

We went to the temple Saturday morning, the older kids and Marc went in and did baptisms, I got to hang out with Lydia, we had a nice time walking around the temple.

Lydia brought this home the other day, she loves PE, this is for pacer, it is a running activity that they do.

She is loving playing in the leaves after school and getting ready for halloween.

Cross Country is over

Katie and Nicole had their last Cross country meet this last week, it was at their school, so Lydia, Marc and I got to go watch.  They both ran really well, they both set personal records.  They really enjoyed being a part of the team this year and both plan on doing it again next year.

Sport update

We are pretty busy around here with sporting events right now.  Kyle is playing football he plays on the JV and the Varsity so he has 2 games a week, we haven't been able to watch him play for awhile because his games have been too far away, but he is enjoying it, and has been getting quite a bit of playing time.

We have watched a lot of volleyball lately.  Hailey had a game Tuesday and my parents came to watch that one, they lost but it was fun to have extra cheerleaders there. Saturday she had an all day tournament and her team won, Marc and I were able to watch part of it. She is working hard and having fun, she is the setter on her team and she plays the whole time, she has been working on her jump serve and has been doing that in her games.

Katie and Nicole are still in Cross country, I have been able to be at the last couple of meets, they are great little runners, they always do really well. The meets are fun to watch, they only have a couple more, but I think this is something they will continue doing, they really like it.

Donuts with Dads

Lydias school had Donuts with Dads this past Friday, the Dads all bring their kids early and eat donuts together before school.  Lydia is picky about her donuts so she worries that they wont have any that she likes so she prefers to go to the store with Marc and pick out what they want and eat at home while they watch cartoons.

Hailey turned 15 today.  She wasn't too thrilled that her birthday landed on general Conference weekend, but I think it turned out alright.  We started the day off with pumpkin pancakes and gifts, her sisters made all kinds of nice cards and pictures.  We enjoyed general conference together.  Dinner was ravioli, salad and garlic bread, with chocolate cake and cookie dough ice cream for dessert. We ended the night playing games together.  She had several friends stop by with gifts and treats.  Hailey is great, she is lots of fun, smart, kind and funny, we love her lots.
